Wednesday 16th April vs FULFORD Home

This was Bishopthorpe U-14s very first match ....and they don't come much tougher than this! Certainly it was going to be a TALL ORDER to beat this experienced Fulford U-14s side. (Fulford are the four on the left...)

Jonny bravely played no.1, Andrew no.2, Stanley 3 and Jacob at 4. It was a hard struggle but Jacob managed a 6-2 win against Callum Smith in the singles. Our other win was Stanley and Jacob playing together in the doubles - a 7-6 tie-break thriller! Good going, guys - a real baptism of fire. To even win 2 rubbers against Fulford was really something. Well played everyone.

Monday 21st April vs POCKLINGTON Away

Wednesday 7th May vs ST.PETER'S SCHOOL Home

Another tall order to beat this St. Peter's side. Playing at 1 was Alex Jubb, no.2 was Jacob, with Andrew at 3 and James at 4.

It was a very close match - which lasted for fully 90 minutes in the baking sunshine (lovely evening). Special mention has to be Jacob who won his singles 6-4 - our only win on the day.

Well played everyone though - a thrilling match to watch.
