Award for Conductor of Ebor Brass Band
 | The Worshipful Company of Musicians awarded Brian Henderson with Diploma of Honours in recognition of his sterling and longstanding work.

Brian has been involved with brass bands for 38 years, 34 of which have been spent teaching literally hundreds of people of all ages to play brass. He has willingly given most of his services free during that time and also started Ebor Brass in 1980 with just six. members, providing four of them with instruments because they didn't have any. Even when his job moved him from York to Bristol, he maintained close contact with the band, travelling to York most weekends while teaching a Bristol band during the week.
