MEET THE PLAYERS:
MATTY BELL : In his 4th season can play left back but this season has been seen using his speed on the leftside of midfield not afraid to try for goal from long range just ask Pocklington !!
TOM ' TINO' BROWN : Right-Back only pocket-size but has big heart 100% effort every game ex - Burniston player from Scarborough League big Newcastle fan .
STEVEN CLAY : Striker has cool head in front of goal good penalty taker, quick and not frightened to run at defenders. Middlesbrough born but wears a Spurs shirt at training!!!!
SAM COOPER : Playing rightside of midfield this season another pocket size but we are waiting for him to catch up to his brothers always gives his best .
ADAM 'DITCHY' DITCHBURN : Who prefers Pickering as to Scarborough FC central midfielder who aquired the nickname of 'Scholesy' by the coaching staff because of his tackling and committment but has never been booked yet !
DAVID FLEMING : Ex-Scarborough FC junior plays central midfield just realising that he can control the game good crosser of the ball and can only improve with us.
PETER GLASS : Recently joined from Eastfield in the Scarborough League, has made an instant impact - utility player, two-footed and an eye for goal. A Boxer who has passed a Refs course!!!!
JAKE KEYWORTH : In his 2nd season in junior football but has immediately made a significant contribution to the team playing at the heart of the defence and become one of the first names on the team sheet . Great tackler and commanding in the air has hit the crossbar and grazed the posts on several occasions - every tried aiming for the corner flag Jakey !!! Now hit the target this season.
ADAM SPAVEN : Left-back - dependable always gives 100% , this season has been seen to go on the occasional 'Ryan Giggs' run yet to bag his first goal but it will come ! His Dad prefers that summer game of 'willow and leather' - which makes 'Spavs' progress in this game even more remarkable !!!
CALUM WRIGHT : Cal is a strong running winger who can tackle and strike a ball as good as any can prove to be a big player in the success which this season may bring .
DANIEL JEMINSON : New signing from Kirkbymooreside confident good shot stopper and commands his box a step up to the under 19's is possible for him obvious nickname Jeno!
LUKE TATESON : Also from 'Kirby' striker quick tricky and skillful formed good partnership with Steve Clay another who could go on to the under 19's .
RICHARD CASS : Ex Old Malton very versatile in goal or outfield strong committed tackler could be the difference in winning the league only just joined us after a long chase for his signature .
TEAM COACH : MATTY HOOD Ex - Brooklyn player joined the Pikes as an under 11 , spent 14 months at York City 2 League Winners medals and 4 cup runners-up medals . Completed 2 year course at York College Football Academy under Gordon Staniforth achieved his F.A. Level 2 Coaching Certificate . Coached Pickering Girls Under 14's last season winning the League Cup and also the Tadcaster 2004 Euro Championship Tournament. At 19 years old he's the youngest on the coaching staff at the club .
