Three Band Members receive their medals

The photograph was taken in April 2008 at a ceremony held at The Royal Armouries in Leeds. It shows Jack Boden, Malcolm Billbrough and Mick Fozzard proudly showing off the Pingat Jasa Medal awarded to each of them in recognition of their service in Malaya during the period 1962-1965. This medal is awarded to the peace keeping groups among the commonwealth countries for distinguished Chivalry,Gallantry,Sacrifice or Loyalty in upholding Penninsula of Malaya or Malaysia Sovereignty during the period of emergency & confrontation. A more detailed explanation of the background to this award can be seen on the link below. We can all be proud to see good and loyal service recognised as it should always be.
