New Earswick Camera Club
PRESIDENT 2012-2013 ROY JONES The Club was founded in 1949 and is a member club of the Yorkshire Photographic Union affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. The Club offers a varied programme of Lectures provided by visiting photographers and Club members.These are supported by inter-club competitions, Club competitions and a two part Annual Exhibition. At the present time the Club encourages both Digital Photography and the more traditional film based material.Amateurs who wish to develop their interest in any form of photography are welcome at the Club where they are able to develop their skills through participation and the viewing of other photographers creative ideas and presentations. Help will also be given in operation of equipment.
MEETINGS: Thursdays from 13th September 2012 to 25th April 2013PLACE:The Camera Club meets in the Meeting Room of the Quaker Meeting House which is situated at the far end of the Car Park of the Folk Hall, New Earswick, Haxby Road, York. From the Northern Ring Road take the New Earswick turn off and follow the road through the village of New Earswick. Shortly after you pass some shops on your left, the Folk Hall will appear, just before a bend in the road, on your right. The Car Park entrance is between the Folk Hall and a new, single building, housing development. Drive to the bottom of the Car Park where you will see the Quaker Meeting House in front of you. The Camera Club meets in the room on your right as you enter the Meeting House, a single level building with disabled access.Make yourself known to any Club member and enjoy your visit.TIME: 7.30pmPARKING:Car Park at the Quaker Meeting Housewhich is the Folk Hall Car Park

Guests are welcome but will be requested to pay a £2 entrance fee. After attending three meetings, they will be expected to Join the Camera Club at the appropriate subscription rate shown above, when the £6 paid previously will be deducted from their subscription fee. Tea and coffee is available for a small sum after each meeting or is provided by the Club on special occasions throughout the season New Earswick Camera Club is supported by The National Lottery through Awards for All. The Camera Club utilises state of the art digital projection provided by the Awards for All scheme.
Prints and transparencies are also displayed throughout the season both competitively and socially. |
