THE AUTOMOTOR TO LOS VILOS

This little train was runing between "La Calera Station" and the train Station at La Serena. After leaving Los Vilos the automotor was crossing many other localities along his way, like Salamanca; Illapel, Ovalle and many others traditional places, before reaching the city of La Serena. Close to Los Vilos the rail was runing at the ocean border and the vision turned fantastique. Today, the train don't run anymore, but people of Los Vilos and other localities acustom to remmember the nostalgic travel of the little train, spacially when it was going near the sea. At that time, the train trip to Los Vilos from La Calera was a long day trip. of about eight hours.
