Looking for Ancestors.

Joseph Porter married Alice Thompson on November 22, 1796 in Kirkdale.  They had William September 17, 1797; Mary, May 16, 1800; Hannah, June 28, 1803; Jane, August 15, 1806 and John, March 29, 1810.
William emigrated to Ontario, Canada and then John married Anne Mercer (Marcer) on December 22, 1829 in Kirkdale and then took his bride in 1830 or 1831 and followed to Ontario, Canada and settled in Vaughan Township.  I am a decendent of John Porter. 
I am looking for any relatives that might still be in the Yorkshire area or any history of the Porters, Thompsons or Mercers.
