Please contact one of the churchwardens to ascertain when the church may be open. Visitors are welcomed, individuals or parties, but please check with one of the churchwardens first. All but the most recent registers are in the Borthwick Institute, York. The current Burial Register begins about 1850.



Parish Priest to Retire

David Bayley is to retire on the 31st December 2008. So- we urgently need a new Priest in Charge on a House For Duty Basis. The house is a modern four bedroom house in the village of West Lutton. The Benefice is unofficilay called The Wolds Valley consisting of the parishes of Weaverthorpe, Helperthorpe, Luttons Ambo, Kirby Grindalythe and Wharram le Street. Contact, The Bishop of Selby or the Archdeacon of York or one of the Churchwardens for further information.
