The Start Of A New Era

The tumble track has finally arrived! (Friday 13 July 2001).

The track has a unique design. It is identical in bounce and softness to a sprung national competition floor. When the gymnast achieves the move on the tumble track then they know they can do it in competition!

We have also recently invested in a New Vaulting Table for national competitions, new Storage Area, new GK red, silver and blue Leotards, and a new Code of Points!!!

A First Time For Everything!

Wetherby Gym Club received confirmation this week (3 August 2001)that we have been SUCCESSFUL in our bid for Millenium Fund money.
The club will receive the maximum amount of money available £5000! No other club in Yorkshire has been awarded the full amount.
This is fantastic news as a good proportion of the money has already been spent on the new Vaulting Table and the Tumble Track.

I am sure that everyone in the club would like to thank Penny Rutherford (Treasurer)for her continued persistence in writing letters, filling in forms and lengthy phone calls on our behalf. THANK YOU.

The Gymnova Bars Are Here!

A brand new set of assymetric bars arrived this week (July 11 2003).

The gymnasts couldn't wait to try them out!

Grace - "They are really bouncy. Just like the bars at Guildford."

Laura - "I like them because you can make the bar lower really quickly!"
