From fish pass at Linton Weir downstream to notice-board opposite Kyle Beck (Newton-on-Ouse). Approximately three quarters of a mile. Small parking area near bungalow. Take A59 (Harrogate) to the right turn just past Skip Bridge Garage, thence second left (past winery) to the "T" junction. Take right road and turn left approximately half a mile before the house, there is a track leading to Linton Weir. Please park pretty. ------------------------------------------------------
RED HOUSE (Middle Section).DTW. NFA.From the Moor Monkton pumping Station to the dead "Big Tree" below the sandbed, through the 'paddock'. ------------------------------------------------------------
RED HOUSE (Bottom Section).DTW. NFA.
From the "Big Tree" down to Killingbeck. Take A59 (Harrogate), turning right at Moor Monkton Crossroads, then next right to Red House Estate. At the entrance to the estate, bear left (parking may be allowed here), to car parks at pumping station. First one is jointly held with Leeds DASA, second one is YDAA exclusive. Entrance to water via stile in corner and through the trees, over 'ladder', and round the lagoon to the 'middle' section. Through stile at bottom of lagoon field and through 'paddock' to 'big tree' for the bottom section. Alternative route to bottom section, after parking at estate entrance, via road through the estate, to paddock on left and thence to 'big tree'.

"Pipe" Hole to Poppleton.DTW. NFA.
A59 (Harrogate), turning right just after the Wyvale Garden centre, or off the ring road at the Millfield roundabout, and into Millfield Lane, to Nether Poppleton. There is a track to the river (before the War Memorial, from the A59, after the War Memorial, from Millfield Lane). This track leads into a field with a large are white metal gate at the end. The Parish Council have kindly given their permission for YDAA members to park adjacent to the gate, but parking must be "pretty". Access to the section, through the 'white gate' and walk upstream. Red House to Poppleton sections are accessible from both ends, but the distance is approximately three and one half miles.

From Skelton Railway Bidge upstream to the boundary of Poppleton Village (approx. 6 pegs.
Parking as for Sellars's (below) opposite the church in the village. Please park pretty.
Poppleton (below, village to business park,known as Sellars's).DTW
From Skelton Railway Bridge to the beck at the bottom of the field downstream of the A1237 ring road bridge. Park neatly at the roundabout on the approach road to the "Millfield" in Poppleton business park, or if the weather is dry follow the track from the road to the 'tunnel' under the railway, where there is a small parking area to the left (approx 10 cars parked pretty, 4 each side 2 down the middle.). The entrance to the water is through the tunnel and then through the left hand gate.
Access may also be made at the church in Poppleton village. Park opposite the church, not within 25 yards of the field fence, thence through the gate and down the path to the water (railway bridge). -------------------------------------------------------------
Leeman Road.
From the boundary of York Waterworks, downstream to the site of the old "railway swimming club" bathing hut (opposite St. Peter's School Boat House).
Public access. ------------------------------------------------------------ Donkey Woods.MOW.
From junction with Middlethorpe Ings(Water Fulford Hall slightly upstream on opposite bank), to the rear of York Crematorium.
Park neatly in Crematorium car park, and enter water via footpath adjacent to Bishopthorpe Palace grounds, between the Crematorium and the Palace, (York board on gate).
Take Bishopthorpe Road from York, Crematorium immediately on left before Bishopthorpe, from Leeds direction, via Sim Balk Lane, turn left and Crematorium is on the right. ------------------------------------------------------------ Acaster. MOW.
From Naburn Weir to the Old Salmon Hut, and three furher sections marked by posts with yellow tips. Parking immediately through the gate at the weir. No vehicles to be taken past this point until the Hay has been cut (usually cut in early July).Take the road to Bishopthorpe and Acaster Malbis, thence left into and beyond the boatyard. ------------------------------------------------------------
Left Hand Bank. Beningbrough (Park).DTW.
From Newton (brick) Tower in the Hall grounds to the bottom of the Park (at Noticeboard). The River Nidd enteres the Ouse on the opposite bank, approximately halfway down the stretch. Parking is in the Hall grounds. Immediately over the cattle grid, at the car park entrance, turn left, following the track, then left again and park tidily. The 'tearoff' portion of the inside back cover of your Year Book, should be displayed to identify you as anglers to the Hall staff (security). 'Dropping' of tackle at the Hall gates is not allowed. Entry to the water is back past the front of the Hall, over the fence and follow the wall on the left round the field. The Tower will be seen at the bottom of the field towards your right. A19 from York, to Beningbrough left turn just before Shipton, follow signs for Beningbrough Hall. Beware of oncoming traffic (narrow road with passing places). ------------------------------------------------------------ Beningbrough (Above).

From fence at bottom of Park stretch to the "pig field", (no pigs there now). Above this field there are three private gardens through which we have access.
A19 to Beningbrough turn-off, then follow signs to Beningbrough Hall (Coaches). Partly along 'passing places' road turn left to "Beningbrough Village only", parking along the grass verge adjacent to the river. ------------------------------------------------------------- OvertonDTW.

Fulford.DTW. NFA.
From Fulford Pumping Station (St. Oswalds Road) to "Fulford Village Green" +++. (This is the area from Germany Beck (downstream of the 'concrete block') to Water Fulford Hall fence). Then from the "Village Green" to the A1237 ring road bridge. Parking either in St. Oswalds Road, thence via lane at left of the entrance to pumping station, following this to the river, or, in Landing Lane, Fulford (on right as you leave the City). *** Through gate at the bottom of the lane walking upstream past Germany Beck, or downstream to Water Fulford Hall fence. Further parking is available on the roadside down Naburn Lane, just over the ring road bridge. This is also the parking for the Palace Ings stretch. +++ No fishing on the "Village Green".*** Parking in Landing Lane may be subject to vandalism.

From A1237 ring road bridge to beck immediately above Naburn Water Treatment Works. Parking as in above item for Naburn Lane, then through gate and follow the track down to the bridge. -------------------------------------------------------------
