Reference to which bank is looking downstream.
===============================================

Right Hand Bank.

Knaresborough.

DTW. NFA.

Haughs Farm Water, approximately one and one half miles.

Via A59 to Knaresborough, turning left into Manse Lane(A658/B6164). Venue from downstream of Water Treatment Works to Haughs farm. Parking on roadside at Haugh's Farm end of the water, from which entry is gained via path and stile (overgrown), thence walking upstream to works.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Tockwith ('A' & 'B' Sections.

DTW. NFA.

From Fleet Beck to access stile (A), and stile to notice board above the wier (B), approximately one mile.

Take B1224 (Wetherby) road from York, turning right to Tockwith at the "Sun Inn". Through Tockwith, turn right into Fleet Lane (restrict speed on this lane), to the entrance to Skewkirk Hall. A track on the left leads down to a bridge, where there is a gate on the left, before the beck. Go through this gate and follow the track to a small parking area on the left. From here walk forward along the hedge to the end, then diagonally across the field, through crops to the stile. (Approximately 150 yards below the "rookery" on the opposite bank).

------------------------------------------------------------

Skip Bridge.

DTW. NFA.

From 'old' road bridge, upstream to Wilstrop Railway bridge.

A59 (Harrogate) from York, to Skip Bridge.

Park on York end of the 'old' road, then approach the water via the stile at the side of the field gate. This brings you to the water at appoximately one third up the stretch.

------------------------------------------------------------

Moor Monkton.

DTW.

Approximately 640 yards downstream from the entrance. Close all gates.

Parking in the compound immediately through the gate.

A59 (Harrogate ) to Moor Monkton crossroads, turn right and follow the road.

------------------------------------------------------------

Left Hand Bank.

Goldsborough.

DTW

Approximately one mile.

Parking on concrete block, or, if the weather is very dry, vehicles may be taken to the gate entrance to the water.

It should be noted that this is at your own risk, and if you get 'stuck' the owner will not come and get you out.

A59 (Harrogate), and after crossing the A1, take the left turn for Goldsborough only. Follow the road and when faced by the Public House, turn right, then left into Midgeley Lane (Road). After just over a mile, there is a concrete block on the right for parking (see above) and a track leads forward from this to roughly the middle of the water (10 minutes walking).
