Selby Canal.

From Selby "Basin" to Brayton Bridge, approximately two miles.
Parking behind the industrial estate at Selby, along the road adjacent to the fishing platforms. At Brayton Bridge parking is on the canal side, after turning right immediately over the bridge. Right hand bank Selby basin to the Doncaster road bridge, left hand bank from there to Brayton Bridge.
For Brayton Bridge take the A1041, and after crossing the A63, take the next right, crossing the railway and canal before turning right to the parking area.

Pocklington Canal.
DTW.
From Canal Head (Pocklington), to East Cottingworth, approxiamtely nine and a half miles. Match sections, Canal Head, Hagg Bridge above and below, and East Cottingworth.
Roadside parking except at East Cottingworth, where a track at the North end of the village takes you down to the canal.
A1079/B1247 to Pocklington, or, A1079/B1228, via Sutton-on-Derwent to Hagg bridge, or, follow B1228 from Hagg Bridge, following road signs for East Cottingworth.

Aire & Calder Canal.

South Side.
Goole Railway Bridge to New Bridge, then Beevers bridge to Crowcroft Bridge.
North Side.
Rawcliffe Bridge to Southfield Culvert (except from M18 road bridge to New Bridge).
From Goole. South side down Dutch Riverside past Smith's Marina (AF Budge) to park in car park at side of Potter Drain. Walk along towpath to fish above Railway Bridge. Rawcliffe Bridge. Park on small area of land opposite Black Horse Public House, walk onto towpath either side of bridge. DO NOT use Black Horse Car Park. New Bridge. Park on British Waterways land bewteen two bridges opposite side of road to farm, leaving access clear for vehicles. Beevers Bridge. Park in car park upstream of bridge. Number 4 bridge and Crowcroft Bridge. Access down Crowcroft Lane, Pollington. Parking at Crowcroft Bridge will have to be at side of road over bridge. Also at side of road prior to number 4 bridge. Access onto Canal bank and farmland MUST be kept clear, no parking on land owned by British Waterways. ------------------------------------------------------------ |
