What do we do? The York Japan Society was established in 2005 with the intention to create links between the Japanese community in York and local people with an interest in Japan. We organise fun social events, cross-cultural exchange and language exchange partnerships. There will be a talk hosted jointly with York St John University on Japanese culture - a demonstration of traditional Japanese clothes including kimono, and a demonstration of ikebana (flower arrangement.
