WHERE TO FIND US

Our address is:
St Lawrence Church Hall
Lawrence Street

We're best approched via the A1079 Hull road into York. We are approxmately 100 yards before the Walmgate bar junction. We are on the left in the church hall opposite the St Lawerence Working Men's Club.
There is very limited free parking behind the hall, parking charges apply to local road side parking.

York Camera Club members receive awards.

On Saturday 10th May the Yorkshire Photographic Union (YPU) held it's members Assembly Day at the North Light Gallery, Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield.
The venue was simply magnificent and the 300 plus "accepted" photographic entries (out of 1,415 entered)were able to be professionally displayed as part of an exhibition which is to be available for the public to view from May 11th - 18th 2008.
It is very worthwhile going to spend a couple of hours or so to look at them all and a "rolling" slideshow presentation of projected images as well.
York Camera Club was honoured with "accepted" print entries by David Lee, 2 by Kath Turner and 2 by Terry Weston.
Kath Turner had one print (York Minster, West Window) awarded with a certificate.
Terry Weston also did well in the Projected Images section with 3 entries "accepted" - one of which was given a certificate and the third entry was awarded The G.F.Kaye Trophy for the best Natural History image in the Applied Projected Images category for his "Common Hawker in Flight."
See below for the entries.
