Shorter Walks For Sunday Afternoons
Sunday May 11th - Bluebell Walk at Oldstead Meet at the Start at SE 521822 on the Hambleton/High Town Bank Road (nr Sutton Bank) by 13:30. Walk will be about 5.5 mls. Leader: Vera Silberberg 128 Scarb & Dist bus runs from Scarborough to Sutton Bank via Helmsley arriving 12:30 or 13:30. M15 departs from York at 10:25 to Helmsley, so will have time to wander around whilst you wait the connection. Sunday June 1st - 4 mile Circular Walk from Stockton-on-the-Forest starting at 13:15pm. Catch the 12:52 843 Coastliner Bus from outside the York Rail Stn. Alight at the Fox Inn (SE657562) Leader: Malcolm Dixon
Sunday June 8th - 5.5ml Circular Walk from DEighton starting at 13:30 Meet at the Start in Naburn Lane at SE 622442. Leader: Vera Silberberg. Catch the 12:53 (Piccadilly) or 13:00 (opp York Rail Stn) 415 Arriva bus to opp the White Swan at Deighton on the A19, cross the A19 with care, walk down to Naburn Lane and then along Lane to Start. Sunday August 10th - 5.5ml Walk around Bilbrough starting at 13:30 Meet at the Start by Bilbrough Church at SE530465. Catch the 12:28 843 Leeds bound Coastliner bus from opp York ail Stn. Get off at Bilbrough Top (Armstrongs), walk back to the fly-over and cross to the other side of the A64 and then either follow cross-field path or walk up the road to Bilbrough Church. Sunday September 14th - 5.5ml Circular walk around Tockwith starting at 13:30 Meet at the start by the Crossroads at SE 468523 Leader: Vera Silberberg
FOR ALL WALKS – please come suitably equipped for the day’s walking, which may be rough in places, and the possibility of changeable and inclement weather. You may also want to bring a snack & a drink for yourself for the walk.
